The path number 1 of the Cinque Terre: Foce Drignana-Colle di Gritta


sentiero monterossoThe fifth section of path no. 1 is 6 km long, with a height difference of 250 m, the maximum altitude is 568 m. and it is reached at the head of the Gaggiolo valley. The average journey time is 2 hours. The walk is rather sweet and immersed in a beautiful pine and chestnut forest . In this area a Ligurian tomb with box was found dating back to the 2nd century BC C. After the Gaggiolo valley, the path approaches the road of the Sanctuaries and continue until you reach Termine (542 m) near the provincial road from Pignone, which runs for a kilometer and a half until you reach the sanctuary of the Madonna Di Soviore . At this point, the descent begins and continue for another 2 km until you reach Colle di Gritta (330 m).
