Ok, for those accustomed to the high snowy peaks will not be a great show, but around here the snow on the boats is a rare event .. Even if the snow is little the view is still very impressive and worth videos and photos at will. ... Just to specify the last time we could see the whitewashed villages of the 5 Terre to the sea (for the truth then snow there were 15 centimeters!) was in 1985 ..

Inauguration of the Crib of Manarola.
After the controversy and political skirmishing of recent weeks fortunately ritoltesi positively, finally yesterday (8 December 2009) took place the inauguration of the crib Mario Andreoli. The ignition was preceded and enlivened by the presence of a group of "sawyers" of vall'Orba [Ligurian hinterland near the border with Piedmont Ovada] who offered a demonstration of the working of rail sleepers, activities and history of their area distributed to all the spectators a good polenta and tourists.

Maybe not many people know ... but we (operators of the 5 Terre touristic area) must be very much grateful to him since, not only in my opinion, he's been the main reason of Cinque Terre's popularity in the USA and all around the world.

The Way of Love is the most famous footpath in the Cinque Terre. Connects Manarola to Riomaggiore and is open to all without any special equipment trekking in just over 20 minutes.
