Graphic Arts in Manarola

It opens today 23 August Artrè exhibition of graphic and photographic “Effects” at the chapel of the Nativity in Manarola.

“P and M was born from a vision:
Beauty is wherever there are eyes that can catch it.
Starting from a base of repeated images in geometric shapes, in lines, in the vertical and cross color, you get to create an artistic effect than Initial image. Love did the rest to Manarola, as you can see from the pictures of rocks Palaedo and Navy and the large painting of doors where, image of antique doors of Manarola, playing with lines and colors, created an intense color effect.
‘Beauty’ is everywhere you can see it. From a repetitive  image making lines crossings and colours we can create a new and different art effect.”

The “Our Lord” Cinque Terre

It opens today 18 August Manarola a very special exhibition draws on the deepest traditions of cultural 5 Terre e di tutta la Liguria: il culto Mariano.

Con il materiale messo a disposizione da Anselmo Crovaraand coming from his private collection, Daniela and Alessio Rollandi Gianardi, with the help of Don Carlo Brizzi have created a work at the same time delicate and incisive,revisited in a modern 50 holy pictures of Mary. A testimony of affection and celebration of the ancient (and modern) Ligurian peoples to the worship of Mary. The veneration of Mary was in fact the core of the faith throughout several centuries, demonstration of this is that all 5 villages of the Cinque Terre have a shrine dedicated to a ‘Lady’ on hills above:

• Our Lady of Montenero Riomaggiore
• Our Lady of Health a Volastra (Manarola)
• Our Lady With the and S. Bernardino (Corniglia)
• Our Lady of Reggio in Reggio (Vernazza)
• Our Lady of Soviore a Soviore (Monterosso)

And many are the testimonies of worship in modern times more than the building of shrines ( secoli X-XIII ) in particolare gli ex-voto dei marinai scampati ai naufragi che sono ospitati nel santuario di Our Lady of Montenero.

 
Forte allo stesso tempo il contenuto simbolico del luogo dell’installazione: in aspro contrasto con la posizione elevata e dominante dei Santuari, caratterizzata da fantastiche viste panoramiche, la mostra ha sede… nel sottosuolo di Manarola ovvero nel tunnel che conduce alla Famosa Via Dell’Amore quasi ad illuminare e rasserenare un percorso altrimenti buio e imperscrutabile.

Festival internazionale di musica cinque terre

Ultime due serate per il Festival Internazionale di Musica “Cinque Terre”.

Saturday 9 August, hours 21.15, Soviore, Santuario N. S. Soviore, Concerto d’organo, Rudolf Kelber, organo.
Monday 11 August, hours 21.15, Vernazza, Chiesa dei Frati, Duo pianistico, Walter Mammarella, Fabrizio Prestipino, pianoforte.
Il festival, giunto alla XXVII edizione è organizzato dall’associazione “Cesar Frank” e impegna organisti e musicisti di caratura internazionale.
Direzione artistica dell’associazione di Ferruccio Bartoletti.
